Mitigation Banks

Ochlockonee
Mitigation Bank

The Ocholockonee Mitigation Bank will be located inside the boundary of the River Ridge Plantation, which is on the western side of Leon County, Florida.  The River Ridge Plantation is over 5,000 acres and has been under the same management for over 20 years.  Frontage on the Ochlockonee exceeds six miles.  The Ochlockonee River runs thru Lake Talquin and ultimately down to the Gulf of Mexico.

We anticipate the bank to consist of approximately 1,300 acres and have extensive frontage on the Ochlockonee.  The service area will be for the entire Ochlockonee River Basin that stretches from the Georgia state line to the Gulf of Mexico at the mouth of the Ochlockonee Bay.  The bank plan is to generate UMAM credits through an efficient and cost-effective plan around pine removal, supplemental plantings and hydrological improvements.  We expect the final permitting on this bank to be complete late 2013 / early 2014.

We invite you to call 904.536-3386 or contact us to inquire about the purchase of mitigation credits in the service area.  We can structure flexible terms to meet your mitigation needs during and after the permitting of the bank.
